What is Radiant Heat?

Radiant heat is what we feel when the sun shines on us. Radiant energy moves at the speed of light in all directions from its source. It is converted to heat when it strikes a solid mass (such as our bodies) rather than heating the air that surrounds us. When a radiant floor heating system closely matches the normal amount of heat that our bodies radiate (yes, our bodies do radiate heat), we feel the most comfortable.
